Flange Stainless Steel Flange
Flange is also called flange or flange. Flanges are parts that connect pipes to each other and are connected to pipe ends. There are holes on the flanges, and bolts make the two flanges tightly connected. The flanges are sealed with gaskets. Flange is divided into threaded connection (wire connection) flange and welding flange.
Flange Features
Flange (flange is also called flange or flange. It is the part that connects the pipe to the pipe. It is connected to the end of the pipe. There are holes on the flange, which can be bolted to make the two flanges tightly connected. A gasket is used between the flanges. Seal. Flanged pipe fittings (flanged pipe fittings) refer to pipe fittings with flanges (flanges or discs). It can be cast, threaded or welded. Flange (flange, joint) is composed of a pair of methods It is composed of a flange, a gasket and several bolts and nuts. The gasket is placed between the sealing surfaces of the two flanges. After the nuts are tightened, the specific pressure on the gasket surface will deform after reaching a certain value, and fill the unevenness on the sealing surface. The connection is tight and leak-proof. Some pipe fittings and equipment already have their own flanges, which are also flange connections. Flange connections are an important connection method in pipeline construction.
Flange connection is easy to use and can withstand greater pressure. In industrial pipelines, flange connections are widely used. In the home, the pipe diameter is small, and it is low pressure, and the flange connection is not visible. If you are in a boiler room or production site, there are flanged pipes and equipment everywhere.

Flange is a disc-shaped part, which is the most common in pipeline engineering. Flanges are used in pairs and with matching flanges on valves. In pipeline engineering, flanges are mainly used for the connection of pipelines. In the pipelines that need to be connected, various flanges are installed. Wire flanges can be used for low-pressure pipelines, and welded flanges can be used for pressures above 4 kg. Add a gasket between the two flanges ad fasten them with bolts. Different pressure flanges have different thicknesses and use different bolts.
Flange connection type:
Plate type flat welding flange, flat welding flange with neck, butt welding flange with neck, socket welding flange, threaded flange, flange cover, loose flange with neck butt welding ring, flat welding ring loose sleeve method Flange, ring groove face flange and flange cover, large diameter flat flange, large diameter high neck flange, eight-character blind plate, butt welding ring loose flange, rotating flange, anchoring flange, surfacing / cladding flange
When connecting pumps and valves to pipes, parts of these devices are also made into corresponding flange shapes, also known as flange connections. Any connection between two flat surfaces that is bolted together and sealed at the perimeter is generally called a "flange," such as the connection of ventilation ducts. This type of part can be called a "flange-type part." However, if this connection is only a part of a device, such as the connection between a flange and a water pump, it would be inappropriate to call the water pump a "flange-type part." Smaller parts, such as valves, can be called "flange-type parts."
A gasket is a circular ring made of a material that can undergo plastic deformation and has a certain strength. Most gaskets are cut from non-metallic plates or made to specified sizes by specialized factories. Their materials include asbestos rubber sheets, asbestos sheets, polyethylene sheets, etc. There are also metal-clad gaskets made by wrapping asbestos or other non-metallic materials with thin metal sheets (tinplate, stainless steel), and there are also spiral-wound gaskets made by winding thin steel strips with asbestos strips.
Ordinary rubber gaskets are suitable for temperatures below 120°C; asbestos rubber gaskets are suitable for steam temperatures below 450°C, oil temperatures below 350°C, and pressures below 5 MPa. For general corrosive media, acid-resistant asbestos sheets are most commonly used. In high-pressure equipment and pipelines, lens-shaped or other shaped metal gaskets made of copper, aluminum, No. 10 steel, or stainless steel are used. The contact width between high-pressure gaskets and the sealing surface is very narrow (line contact), and the finish of the sealing surface and the gasket is high.
Low-pressure small-diameter flanges are threaded, and high-pressure and low-pressure large-diameter flanges are welded. The thickness of the flanges of different pressures and the diameter and number of connecting bolts are different.
