Classification of aluminum plates:
1. According to the series:
1000 series: contains more than 99.00% aluminum, which is the series with the largest aluminum content among all series. It can not be strengthened by heat treatment, with good electrical conductivity, good welding performance and low strength.
Application: Mainly used for scientific experiments, chemical industry and other special purposes.
2000 series: It is an aluminum-copper alloy. In addition to copper and aluminum, manganese, magnesium, lead and bismuth are also added. The machinability is good, but the intergranular corrosion tendency is serious. Application: aviation industry (2014 alloy), screw (2011 alloy), industries with high temperature (2017 alloy), etc.
3000 series: Manganese is the main component, and the content is between 1.0-1.5%. The 3000 series aluminum plate has better anti-rust function, so it can also be called anti-rust aluminum plate. Application: In humid environments such as air conditioners, refrigerators, and under the car. Is a commonly used alloy series, the price is higher than 1000series.
4000 series: The aluminum plate of this series contains high silicon content, usually between 4.5-6.0% silicon. Commonly used for building materials, mechanical parts, forging materials, welding materials. 4000 series aluminum has low melting point, good corrosion resistance, heat resistance and wear resistance.
5000 series: It belongs to the more commonly used series of aluminum alloy plates. Also known as aluminum-magnesium alloy. The main element is magnesium, and the magnesium content is between 3-5%. It is characterized by low density, high tensile strength and high elongation. In the case of the same area, the weight of aluminum-magnesium alloy is lower than other series. 6000 series: It mainly contains two elements, magnesium and silicon, so the advantages of the 4000 series and the 5000 series are concentrated.
7000 series: mainly contains zinc. It is an aluminum-magnesium-zinc-copper alloy and is a heat-treatable alloy. It is a super hard aluminum alloy with good wear resistance. Widely used in aviation.
8000 series: Most applications are aluminum foil. Less commonly used in the production of aluminum rods.
9000 series: It is a backup series in response to the appearance of aluminum plates containing other alloying elements.
